We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
We are currently looking for an experienced XHTML/CSS web designer to join our dynamic team. Initially we would be looking for someone to undertake work on a per-project basis on a freelance basis, with the possibility of a full time position for the right candidate in the future as the company's needs grow.
Requirements:

Strong design skills with an impressive portfolio of previous commercia work

Strong XHTML/CSS skills (including the ability to understand the code without a design package)

Experience of creating user-friendly websites which are cross-browser compatible

A thorough knowledge of web accessibility and usability standards ( W3C WAI-WCAG) and experience designing to meet current web accessibility requirements as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
- Excellent working knowledge with packages such as Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver

Good communication skills with the ability to communicate directly with client's to discuss their needs

Previous experience of designing e-commerce websites is desirable, but not essential

Basic understanding of server-side technologies would be advantageous but not essential
Duties:
On average, you will design 3 websites per month for our clients, from initial brief, creation of design visuals to XHTML/CSS for integration with our e-commerce system. The ideal candidate should be located within Central Scotland and have the necessary tools required to undertake a freelance role.
This is a web design role and as such we are looking for someone who is comfortable with designing a website from scratch given a brief from our us or our clients and providing us with web standards compliant XHTML/CSS to integrate with our system. The code you provide would be expected to have already been tested on the latest major browsers (IE6, IE7, Firefox 1.5+, Safari), be validated to W3C standards and conform to at least W3C WAI-WCAG Level AA accessibility standards. We are not looking for a programmer to develop an e-commerce website.
